Abdulrahman Al Sanosi
In 2004 and after finishing a two years neurotology fellowship in Australia, Professor Al Sanosi has been working hard to service the hearing impaired in Saudi Arabia. From 2007 till 2013, he was the director of the CI program at King Saud University and oversaw a ten fold expansion of the program from 40 to almost 400.
Presently, Professor Al Sanosi is the director of the Neurotology fellowship at King Saud University and is overseeing the education of the next generation of Saudi Neurotologists. He will been joining the distinguished alumnus of this prize that includes prominent experts such as Professors Hassan Wahba, Abdulrahman Hager and Jamal Kassouma.
The Ingeborg and Erwin Hochmair award was established by the board of the Middle East Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in association with MED-EL bearing the names of its cofounders. It honours programmes and physicians who devoted much of their life to the care of the hearing impaired in the Middle East.
