Freight Handlers unload and load products that are delivered to warehouse distribution centers, using forklifts, pallet jacks, other material handling equipment or by hand.

Additional responsibilities include breakdown and separation of freight, re-packaging and palletizing, and centralized staging within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Duties are physically demanding since cases and pallets (weighing between 25 to 100 lbs.) have to be re-worked due to possible shifting during transit.
• Inspection for damaged product and replacing any broken pallets and plastic wrapping product to keep it from leaning and/or falling is imperative.
• Partners must keep their work environment safe and clean at all times.
• Must adhere to safety rules and wear safety equipment.
• Must adhere to food safety handling, washing hands, etc.

Other requirements and environmental demands

• Work in Refrigerated docks.
• Stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Have the ability to crouch, stoop, and twist the upper body repetitively.
• Be willing and able to work other duties as assigned.

Work experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred but not required.

• Must be able to pass background.
• Must be able to pass the drug test.
• Must be able to pass physical assessment test lifting weights up to 40lbs.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
