Position Title: Production Associate
Wage: $18.00 - $19.00/hour
Shift: 1st or 2nd
Hours: 6:00am – 2:30pm or 3:00pm – 11:30pm

Production Associate Responsibilities: - Unpack incoming metal parts and perform visual inspections for damage or surface defects; report discrepancies promptly
- Document original packaging methods to ensure parts are repacked appropriately
- Clean and dry parts prior to and after processing, ensuring they are free of debris and foreign objects (FOD)
- Review production paperwork, work orders, drawings, and specifications to verify part requirements
- Apply various masking materials (tapes, waxes, lacquers, etc.) to aerospace parts using established techniques and safety protocols
- Utilize cutting tools and solvents safely and effectively
- Ensure masking matches first article samples and customer specifications
- Remove masking post-process and clean off any adhesive residues
- Inspect masked/unmasked parts for consistency and non-conformities
- Select and prepare racks and fixtures appropriate for processing based on part geometry and finish requirements
- Ensure secure, scratch-free racking with proper electrical contact when needed
- Team-lift racks as required and relieve pressure carefully when unracking
- Clean and maintain racking equipment, reporting any damage or issues
- Pack finished parts according to customer and internal packaging standards
- Organize and maintain inventory of boxes, packaging materials, and supplies
- Transport parts between departments as needed
- Complete required documentation, both digital and paper (work orders, inspection reports, process logs, etc.)
- Proactively communicate any equipment malfunctions or part-related issues to supervisors
- Support audits, training and continuous improvement efforts
Requirements for Production Associate: - Prior experience in metal finishing, masking, or manufacturing environments
- Able to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Willingness to use sharp tools, handle solvents and wear required PPE
- Able to lift up to 50lbs. and perform repetitive tasks
