Job Title: Product Design Engineer – Off-Highway & Mining (SolidWorks, Sheet Metal)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled product design engineer with 4–6 years of experience in the off-highway, construction, and mining domain. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in SolidWorks, sheet metal design, and new product development (NPD). You will work closely with global teams and customers to drive concept development, project delivery, and engineering coordination across geographies.

✅ Key Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of sheet metal, machined, casting, and plastic components using SolidWorks.
• Translate customer requirements into functional project plans with accurate estimation and scheduling.
• Act as an onsite/offshore coordinator, ensuring project delivery and alignment across cross-functional teams.
• Participate in customer meetings to gather project briefs, define scope, and clarify technical expectations.
• Support the entire product development life cycle, including prototyping, validation, and hand-off to manufacturing.
• Ensure technical feasibility of designs with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection.
• Document and manage changes to project scope, timelines, and costs in alignment with project stakeholders.
• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the customer and offshore engineering teams.
• Ensure timely delivery and maintain detailed project documentation.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 4–6 years of experience in off-highway, construction, or mining product development.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks with strong hands-on experience in sheet metal design.
• Experience with project planning, estimation, and scheduling.
• Exposure to global cross-functional teams; preferred experience working on-site in Europe or the USA.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material selection, and design for manufacturability.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
