WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Post Anesthesia Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in Boston, MA.

Job Function:

• Night Shift.
• 3x12: 7pm - 7:30am.
• Provides post-operative nursing care to the patient in an individual, emotionally supportive manner, consistent with any directions or orders given by the anesthesiologist and/or attending physician.
• Documents all nursing activities and writes a nursing discharge note when the anesthesiologist documents that the patient is ready to be transferred to the progressive recovery room.
• Ensures that all needed equipment and supplies are stocked and readily available.
• Monitor’s and documents the patient’s vital signs and level of consciousness as per nursing procedure.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).

• Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts.

• 2 years of acute care PACU RN experience required.

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required.

• Must submit resume, cover sheet, two references, and a completed skills checklist.

• Required: 3 years of total RN experience, including 1+ year of travel PACU experience and 1+ year of experience in an academic medical center.
