Water Park Maintenance Technician- Starting at $16.50 per hour job at Six Flags Darien Lake Darien Center, NY, US

Job Description

This is a seasonal position.

JOB SUMMARY: Maintain all features of the Waterpark in a safe and sanitary condition.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assures the water chemistry in all areas of the waterpark is tested, recorded and adjusted (if necessary) on an hourly basis during periods of operation.
Backwashes all filters when required and maintains the proper level of water in all pools. Closes or shuts down any features for safety and/or emergency situations. Maintains a clean and safe environment in and around the water activity areas.
Pre-Opening Safety Checks performed on pools, water features and slides on operating days including ride start-up and shut down dependent upon operating schedule.
Pre-opening cleaning of pools and surrounding areas on a pre-determined schedule.
End of the day inspection in all areas of the waterpark.
Repair/maintenance of all water rides and features during operating as well as non-operating seasons.
Assures safety and equipment inspections are performed on a daily basis.
Assists other departments and divisions in daily operations of the park.
Maintaining water features and fountain in the park.
All other duties as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate must possess:
Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation.
Must be at least 18 years of age
A strong sense of teamwork and a positive attitude.

Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Knowledge of pumps, filters and related equipment a plus but not required.
