Job Description

Portland High School (Portland, ME) is currently looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable candidate to serve as our  Varsity Cheerleading Head Coach (Fall/Winter) . Candidate must be flexible to work within a cooperative team/school environment. Previous high school cheerleading coaching (or club/college), educational leadership and/or high school teaching experience is preferred. Coach must be dedicated to modeling/teaching sportsmanship, skills, setting high standards on and off the field and connecting positively with high school student-athletes. STRONG organizational and scheduling skills are a MUST! Ideal position for a teacher, school staff member or an ed tech. Head Coach job opening is for both the fall spirit season and winter varsity competitive cheerleading season at PHS. An Asst. Coach position is assigned to winter cheer as well.
