Job Title: Truck Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced mechanic to lead and install new equipment onto vocational, refuse, and service trucks. The role involves performing preventative maintenance on lift kits, snow plows, trucks, roll-off dumpsters, and more. A significant part of the work will involve hydraulics, as the equipment utilizes hydraulic systems for movement. Additional tasks include wiring trucks, running controls into cabs, body swaps, wheelbase adjustments, and some custom fabrication and welding. Electrical work will be required up to 12 volts.

Responsibilities

• Install new equipment on vocational, refuse, and service trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment including lift kits and snow plows.
• Handle hydraulic systems for snow plows and roll-off dumpsters.
• Wire trucks and run controls into cabs.
• Conduct body swaps and wheelbase adjustments.
• Perform custom fabrication and welding as needed.
• Complete electrical work up to 12 volts.

Essential Skills

• 1-5 years' experience as a mechanic working on larger equipment or trucks.
• Ownership of basic hand tools.
• Experience in hydraulic repair and maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in the refuse industry is preferred.
• Skills in brake systems, troubleshooting, diesel engines, repair, welding, and electrical work.

Work Environment

Work in a newly renovated facility with a brand new shop floor and equipment. The facility is climate-controlled, ensuring a comfortable working environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomington, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $66560.00/yr.
