Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of OR and pediatric experience for a night shift role; FL or compact state RN license required.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Position is in a hospital operating room serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Unit performs a range of surgical cases including ENT, General, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Ortho, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• Uses Epic for electronic medical records
• Night shifts are 12 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• On-call responsibilities are required, typically averaging 4 calls per month with varying call times
• Floating may occur and travelers are the first to float, potentially to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes
• Strict 50-mile radius rule applies for eligibility
• Will provide perioperative care across a broad range of surgical specialties for both adults and children
• Team culture values flexibility and expects travelers to function as core staff
• Orientation begins on a Friday with a remote session followed by onsite badge/ID pick-up
• All requests for time off or schedule accommodations must be made prior to contract offer; post-offer requests are not accepted
• Dress code requires appropriate hospital scrubs
• Travelers are welcomed and supported by the unit but must be willing to float as needed
• No block scheduling requests accepted

\n \n Requirements\n

• Active FL or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of recent OR RN experience
• Pediatric operating room experience required
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR certification preferred
• Degree from an accredited nursing program required or a minimum of 5 years of RN experience
• Prior travel experience highly preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Must provide documented proof of COVID and Flu vaccination
• References required, with at least one from the past year
