\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts with options for 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:30 PM - 7:30 AM
\n• Every other weekend requirement: Friday and Saturday for nights, Saturday and Sunday for dayshift
\n• Holiday rotation to distribute holidays fairly
\n• Patient ratios of 1:5-6 in a 30-bed unit (three 10-bed units)
\n• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
\n• Must take and pass dysrhythmia exam within two attempts prior to signing contract (80% passing score)
\n• Minimum 1 year MedSurg experience required, telemetry experience preferred
\n• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
\n• Care for surgical patients (hip/knee replacements, bowel resections, hysterectomies), medical patients (MRSA, C-diff, COPD, pneumonia), and telemetry patients (chest pain)
\n• May be required to precept nursing students
\n• Float requirements to Multi Care Unit, Pediatric unit, and West Campus MedSurg Tele
\n• Care for stable CPAP or BiPAP patients
\n• Standby rotation for low census situations
\n• Any scrub color allowed except camouflage
\n• Use Cerner charting system
\n• Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients
\n• No drip titration required
\n• Profile review and manager interview required
