Job Description

Akkodis currently has a Test Technician position with a client located in Lancaster, NY. This is an onsite position, so the person needs to live within 40 miles of Lancaster, NY. No C2C or agencies allowed with this position.

Rate Range: $35.00/hour to $40.00/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Looking for a Test Technician who will performs test engineering activities including evaluation of new product test requirements, design and build new test stands and developed / implement test strategies.

• Develops and/or modifies qualification test plans and specifications for new and existing products.
• Supports existing production and quality test equipment.
• Provides supervision and direction for test/calibration technicians.
• Develops new test methods and evaluates instruments for current and new products to improve test accuracy, cycle time, and automation of test process.
• Manages internal and external resources for test stand construction, prove out, and acceptance including outside test services
• Setting up test fixtures, building test stands, and environmental testing.
• Vibration testing and analysis (designing and executing) setting up equipment, test parameters, running tests.
• Identifying and addressing issues related to shock, vibration, and environmental factors.
• Should know AutoCAD, and experience using MS Office suite.
• Mechanical Engineering background.

Qualifications are:

• Education: BS Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering
• Experience: 3 to 5 years test engineering in an aerospace environment
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Qualification program testing plans and procedures
