Onward Search Education is partnering with a school district in Cook County, IL to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year.

Location: Cook County, IL (specific school assignment TBD)
Start Date: August 11, 2025
End Date: May 25, 2026
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Grade Level: TBD (Elementary, Middle, or High School based on best fit)
Hours: Full-time, 7:30 AM–3:30 PM (may vary slightly by school)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEPs for students with a range of disabilities
• Provide direct instruction and accommodations tailored to student needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
• Track and report student progress toward goals
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement (or in process)
• Prior experience in a school setting preferred
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs
