We seek an energetic and experienced 9th & 10th-grade Spanish teacher to join our high school team today! As a Teacher, you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, creating and implementing a comprehensive educational curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and passionate about teaching!
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Spanish language lessons that align with TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) standards.
- Create a classroom culture of high expectations, academic rigor, and respect.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and technologies to support diverse learners.
- Assess student progress regularly using formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and communication.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and school events.
- Enforce school policies and procedures to maintain a safe and orderly learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Texas Teacher Certification in Spanish (Grades 6–12 or EC–12) – required
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Demonstrated ability to teach Spanish at the high school level
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred but not required
- Commitment to educational equity and student achievement
