Software Tester – Mobile Technology & QA Engineering

MBA CSi is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Software Tester to support the United States Postal Service’s Delivery and Mobile Technology Engineering group. In this role, you’ll be part of a fast-paced engineering environment focused on ensuring quality, reliability, and innovation across USPS’s mobile platforms.

As part of a team modernizing the nation's most recognized logistics and delivery operation, your contributions will directly enhance the performance, accuracy, and security of mobile technology used by postal workers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software and data test plans, test cases, and test data to validate USPS mobile solutions.
• Execute testing procedures across QA, staging, and production environments.
• Perform regression testing using a standard library of data files.
• Identify, log, and report defects with supporting artifacts; verify defect resolutions and document outcomes.
• Ensure business and technical requirements are met before product release.
• Maintain quality assurance standards and help implement quality control best practices.
• Collaborate with software engineers and product managers to assess risks and improve system reliability.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
• Experience: 2–5 years in software quality assurance or a related role.
• Preferred Experience with Mobile Device Software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
• Ability to execute test cases across software platforms with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to work on-site at the USPS facility in Merrifield, VA.
• Standard business hours (Mon–Fri, 40 hrs/week); flexibility required during critical testing periods.
• Must be able to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
• Strong mathematical aptitude and analytical mindset.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening to obtain Public Trust Clearance.
