What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients at government locations by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the property and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related incidents.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering and exiting the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, and/or suspicious activities according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed during incidents and emergencies.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings to help to deter potential threats or security-related breaches.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
