Safety Manager

Job title: Safety Manager

Location: Sacramento, CA

Project size: $10M+

Compensation: $110-135K base DOE + bonus

Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our safety programs within our construction projects. The Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, promoting a culture of safety, and minimizing risks on-site to protect our employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on safety practices and emergency procedures.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to promote safety initiatives and improve work practices.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation and reports for regulatory compliance and internal review.
• Act as a liaison between management, employees, and regulatory agencies regarding safety matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety role, preferably in the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CHST) is highly desirable.
