About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to manage full-charge accounting for a growing real estate development and construction business with multiple affiliated entities. This role offers variety. Handling everything from day-to-day accounting to property-related financial operations in a collaborative, small office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Full-Cycle Accounting: General ledger accounting, budgeting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting for multiple entities.
• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts; manage cash balances; ensure accuracy across entities.
• Property Accounting: Manage accounting for active developments and owned properties, including CAM reconciliations, investor distributions, and tenant-related accounting.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for multiple accounts.
• Client & Candidate Communication: Interact with internal stakeholders, vendors, and tenants as needed.
• System Management: Utilize Yardi, QuickBooks, and Excel to maintain accurate and organized records.

Qualifications

• 24 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate development, property management, or construction.
• Proficiency in Yardi, QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple books simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Audit experience and familiarity with CAM reconciliations preferred.
