Position Overview Indian Springs School, the premier co‑ed, independent day and boarding school in the Southeast, invites passionate, experienced Physics teachers to join a talented Science department. The successful candidate will have the ability to teach diverse learners across a wide range of physics concepts, skills, and topics, ranging from conceptual to all levels of AP (AP 1, AP C: Mechanics, AP C: Electricity and Magnetism), and potentially more. Special consideration will be given to candidates who can also teach mathematics courses. Responsibilities Teach five courses, including AP 1, AP C: Mechanics, and AP C: Electricity and Magnetism. Lead co‑curricular activities and advise a group of students. Engage in faculty training and professional development, and actively participate in community life. Possibly teach mathematics courses, based on school needs. May be offered on‑campus housing for those interested in Residential Life. Qualifications Full‑time position with a start date in August 2026. Advanced degree(s) in Physics or a closely related discipline. AP teaching experience preferred. 5–10 years of teaching experience in secondary education. Ability to teach diverse learners and demonstrate alignment with the school’s Mission and Core Values, the Faculty Statement on Good Teaching and Key Relationships, and the “Learning through Living” philosophy.
