Job Description

A New York City-basedprivate organization is looking to add a Chinese-speaking, licensed Physician, with a Family and/or Internal Medicine background, to join their staff at one of their facilities on Staten Island. Responsibilities: The Family / Internal Medicine Physician will be responsible for: Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and chronic diseases and conditions Prescribing or administering medications, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury Explaining procedures and discussing test results or prescribed treatments with patients Monitoring patients' conditions and progress and re-evaluating treatments, as necessary Providing health and wellness advice to patients, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention Immunizing patients against preventable diseases Maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including comments, tests, and/or treatments prescribed, and test results Referring patients to other medical specialists, when necessary Preparing official health documents or records, when necessary Participating in network activities such as Provider meetings, Grand Rounds, and training sessions Performing other duties, as needed Qualifications: Licensed to practice Medicine in the State of New York Board Eligible / Certified in Family and/or InternalMedicine Bilingual (English and Cantonese or Mandarin) DEA license Your privacy is important to us.
