About the Job:
Oregon Occupational Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will work alongside our team of experienced Physical Therapists to provide high-quality care and rehabilitation services to our patients.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Physical Therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
Assist patients with exercises and activities aimed at improving strength, mobility, and function.
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients on proper body mechanics and techniques for injury prevention.
Administer therapeutic modalities, such as electrical stimulation and ultrasound, under the direction of a Physical Therapist.
Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and provide updates on progress.
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient treatment and progress.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of treatment areas and equipment.
Participate in team meetings and continuing education to improve skills and knowledge.
Adhere to ethical and legal standards for patient care and confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Current license or eligibility for licensure in the state of Oregon.
Minimum of 1 year experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in an outpatient setting preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
Proficient in using electronic medical records.
CPR certification.
