Summary Location Gloucester, VA @ Courthouse Pediatrics Schedule - Shift - Hours Full -time - Days - On Call GET TO KNOW CHKD CHKD Health System operates Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters, Virginia’s only freestanding, full-service children’s hospital, located in Norfolk, Virginia, and its pediatric practices, multi-service health centers, and urgent cares throughout southeastern Virginia and northeastern North Carolina. Limited weekend calls and no inpatient care required. On-call nurse triage system is available 365 days a year. As a CMG Pediatrician, your responsibilities include: Providing high-quality, compassionate pediatric care in an outpatient practice setting. Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic medical conditions in children. Building strong connections with patients and families and fostering a supportive environment is important. Participating in rotating on-call duties as needed. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including subspecialists, nursing staff, and on-call triage. Ensuring patient care is aligned with best practices and medical guidelines. Engaging in continuing medical education and professional development. Applicants must meet these qualifications: Board eligible or board certified in pediatrics (if board eligible; certification must be obtained within 2 years of residency completion). Must possess a valid Virginia medical license. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care. Ability to build excellent rapports with children and families.
