Job Description

Tennessee Valley Bone and Joint is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR). A healthcare professional who primarily serves as the point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive experience by providing excellent customer service. This position will handle various administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and verifying insurance, while also acting as a liaison between patients and the medical team. patients, vendors, and third-party payers.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • One year experience in a medical office, hospital, or billing center.
  • Understand Insurance and Benefits terminology.
  • Knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology is a plus.
  • Value Honesty, Integrity, & Accountability.
  • Value Team and Respect Consumers.
  • High School Diploma.
  • Have strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answering Phones.
  • Scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and completing patient registration forms
  • Check Insurance Benefits at time of scheduling and during check in process.
  • Assist Front Desk Team as needed (Check In and Check Out).
  • Providing friendly and efficient service, addressing patient concerns, and ensuring a positive experience. 
  • Communicating patient needs and concerns to the medical team and coordinating care plans. 
  • Maintaining patient records, processing payments, and assisting with billing inquiries. 
  • All other Duties as Assigned.
