Acts as the initial point of contact for all patients, schedules appointments, registers and orients all new patients, submits patient information, coding and billing for services provided. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service and compassionate care. Responsibilities include customer service/check-in, pre-registration and registration, scheduling appointments, co-payment collection, daily assignments and long-term projects, embracing technology, patient interaction, department workflow and operations, daily office functions, and discharges. The role requires greeting patients and visitors professionally, managing patient flow, accurate data entry and registration, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, collecting co-payments, managing work schedules, adapting to technological changes, enhancing patient experience, facilitating smooth department workflow, managing multiple office tasks efficiently, and accurately discharging patients. Minimum education preferred is a High School Diploma. One to two years healthcare office experience required. Strong customer service skills and prior Epic experience preferred. Varied shifts with weekend rotation. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
