ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for a part time position with ASM Global at the Boeing Center at Tech Port. Under the supervision of the LAN Gaming Manager and Port San Antonio representatives, the museum exhibit guide will be a front-line ambassador for representing Boeing & ASM Global as a tour guide for the Boeing Exhibit within the San Antonio Museum for Science and Technology. Essential duties include conducting facility tours for clients, students, and prospective partners daily; working with staff to develop and maintain a service-oriented attitude; maintaining processes and policies for exhibit operations; showcasing technical proficiency with sponsored exhibit experiences; troubleshooting, maintaining, and logging any flight sim issues; managing all operational equipment related to sponsored exhibit; effectively communicating the story of the exhibit within the overall message of Area 21; and other duties as assigned. Education and experience required include one year of museum exhibit experience, basic knowledge of aerospace and airplanes preferred, intermediate understanding of computers, simulators, and related IT equipment, experience with customer service and guest relations, and demonstrated experience working collaboratively and professionally under pressure while sustaining a high level of attention to detail. Qualifications include strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and under pressure while prioritizing multiple projects with competing deadlines, demonstrated flexibility and ability to work well with educators, business leaders, students and guests of all ages, strategic and critical thinker who is dynamic, forward-thinking, analytical, and extremely well organized, excellent service & communication skills, bilingual speaking preferred but not required, willingness to work the hours required to fulfill the commitments of the role including after-hours and weekend special events, and must pass background and credit check. Physical demands include daily use of computer, telephone, copier and/or fax machine, possible work inside or outside of the building as needed by events, ability to lift/carry, bend/reach, and stamina for possible long hours of standing/walking.
