Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

Join a dedicated team at a full manufacturing facility specializing in asphalt maintenance equipment. Our advanced machinery heats, stores, transports, and applies various asphaltic materials essential for maintaining roadways.

Responsibilities

• Perform fabrication and welding operations for large hoppers and tanks, ensuring leakproof processes according to documented manufacturing procedures and prints.
• Set up and operate Axcess 40v wire feeder and Axcess 300 pulse welder.
• Weld tank and hopper walls using MIG and Pulse practices.
• Utilize jigs and fixtures for a majority of day-to-day operations.
• Self-inspect and evaluate the quality of products before advancing them to the next step in the fulfillment process.

Essential Skills

• MIG pulse welding experience.
• Ability to complete the entire welding process.
• Proficiency with blueprints and MIG welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret weld symbols and blueprints.
• Capability to perform basic structural weld joints such as T, Lap, Corner to corner, and Butt.
• Skilled in MIG and Pulse welding procedures and operations, with some TIG experience.
• Ability to consistently produce aesthetically acceptable welds finished to company expectations.
• Competence in consistently welding to leak-proof standards, including open tank, closed tank, and hot oil leakproof testing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $33.00/hr.
