Job Description

Position: Medical Operations Manager/Practice Manager

Company: Medi-Weightloss of Des Moines

About Us:
Medi-Weightloss is a physician-supervised weight management clinic that helps patients lose weight, restore confidence, and reclaim their health — for good.

Our personalized medical weight loss programs, combined with nutritional guidance and unwavering support, empower our patients to attain lasting results.

This role is for someone who thrives on ownership — building systems, leading people, and driving performance inside a fast-moving clinic.

Why Join Us:
Purpose-Driven Work: Help patients change the trajectory of their health, one measurable win at a time.

Growth Environment: Work alongside a passionate team where performance, precision, and empathy meet.

Autonomy & Impact: You won’t just manage operations — you’ll build the playbook and lead execution.

Competitive Compensation: Market-leading compensation based on experience and outcomes.

What You'll Do:
You’ll run the business side of the clinic so our medical team can focus on patient outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
Lead & Develop the Team: Hire, train, and inspire administrative and clinical staff to deliver consistent excellence.
Drive Patient Experience: Own the full patient journey — from inquiry to consultation to success story.
Run Operations Smoothly: Manage scheduling, medical records, workflows, and daily coordination.
Ensure Compliance: Uphold all healthcare regulations and internal policies with precision.
Own Financial Performance: Handle billing, accounts receivable, and operational KPIs to keep the clinic healthy.
Control Inventory: Maintain accurate tracking and supply management.
Measure & Improve: Analyze reports, identify inefficiencies, and drive continuous improvement.
Convert & Retain: Support marketing and sales efforts by converting inbound leads and maximizing patient retention.
Build Culture: Create a high-trust, high-standard environment that reflects Rare’s values — discipline, integrity, and relentless improvement.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management, Business, or related field (preferred)

• 3+ years in a medical office or operations leadership role

• Proven ability to lead people and manage performance

• Strong understanding of healthcare compliance and EMR systems

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills

• A bias for action — you solve problems fast and stay calm under pressure

• A patient-first mindset paired with business acumen

Salary : Competitive salary and performance-based incentives, commensurate with experience.
