Boyer Children's Clinic is currently seeking a Full-Time Medical Billing Specialist . Boyer Children's Clinic provides medical, therapy, special education and family services to infants and young children with developmental delays, and their families. For more information on Boyer Children's Clinic, please visit The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate billing and insurance records are produced and maintained for Boyer Children's Clinic.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Review and process billing statements, claims, and patient accounts in partnership with our outsourced billing service on a daily basis.
• Submit electronic claims, verify insurance eligibility, and manage pre-authorizations and benefit verifications.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable, process credits/refunds, and manage balances with minimal past-due accounts.
• Communicate with providers, families, insurers, and internal staff to resolve billing issues and provide support.
• Identify Medicaid eligibility and support intake and family coordinators with insurance-related guidance.
• Update billing software with rate changes and assist with documentation of billing processes.
• Support the Controller with reporting and other related duties as needed.
