Position Summary:

As a  Manager at our firm, you will play a critical leadership role in managing client relationships, overseeing assurance and tax engagements, and mentoring staff. You will work closely with senior management and partners to ensure high-quality service delivery and contribute to the growth of the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and review audit, review, and compilation engagements for a variety of clients.
  • Oversee corporate and personal tax compliance and planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients; act as the main point of contact for day-to-day inquiries.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop junior and intermediate staff and provide regular feedback.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and client expectations on multiple concurrent engagements.
  • Stay up to date with changes in accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry developments (ASPE, ASNPO, and Canadian tax updates).
  • Assist with practice development and identify opportunities for client growth and value-added services.
  • Ensure adherence to professional standards, internal quality control policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in public accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian GAAP (ASPE & ASNPO), Canadian tax legislation, and assurance standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills.
  • Proficiency in CaseWare, QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.

Preferred Assets:

  • CPA designation (CPA, CA / CMA / CGA) in good standing.
