Bostik Middleton is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic.
We are offering a $2,000 Sign-on Bonus! Health Benefits starting on DAY 1 of your Employment! Job dimensions \n - Performs various plant maintenance functions to maintain the general operation of the facility.
\n - Responsible for safely inspecting, monitoring, and maintaining our plant systems and equipment. This includes pumps, motors, gearboxes, chillers, reactor tanks, process heaters, and all associated instrumentation.
\n - Troubleshoot issues in partnership with our production operators and take corrective actions needed to deliver a reliable operation
\n - Primary work schedule is on days following a 4-10 schedule. Must be able to work overtime and be on 24/7 call one week every two months.

Activities \n - Follow all EHS policies and practices. This includes compliance with environmental regulations and permits, quality systems, and safe work practices (Safe Work Permits, Lockout Tagout, Confined Space Entry, Hot Work, Line Breaks, Etc.)
\n - Demonstrate commitment to all EHS matters through individual actions that include behavior-based safety observations, hazard reduction opportunities, hazard recognition and safe work permit execution.
\n - Complete preventative maintenance inspections and generate work orders for repair as needed.
\n - Track PM and work order execution in the maintenance management program as required.
\n - Repair/rebuild valves, pumps, vacuum pumps, condensers, chillers, refrigeration, and other process equipment
\n - Troubleshoot process and equipment issues using a methodical approach
\n - Install new equipment and support capital project activities
\n - Participate in 5S, root cause problem solving, and other continuous improvement activities
\n - Follows written instructions and standard operating procedures with minimal supervision
\n - Supports all manufacturing operations as appropriate.
\n - Follows proper procedures for the handling, storage and transfer of hazardous and universal waste
\n - Use of hand and power tools as well as slings/rigging equipment
\n - Operates fork truck, scissor lift, boom lift, and other material handling equipment.
\n - Troubleshoots and repairs all manufacturing/facilities equipment on a timely basis to minimize equipment downtime

Context and Environment \n - Bostik is an OSHA Process Safety Management facility, and our process involves hazardous chemicals. All PPE requirements must be always followed.
\n - Must be able to work independently
\n - Works collaboratively with all department employees to solve problems and to ensure a quality product is produced.
\n - Work in a fast-paced production environment where safety, accuracy, and attention to detail is required
\n - Use of computer for work order processing and training
\n - High performing teams and excellent communications are standard for the facility.
\n - Must wear a cell phone and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
\n

Accountabilities \n - Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and EPA guidelines.
\n - Maintains good housekeeping practices.
\n - Complete all mandatory company safety training requirement
\n - Complete all work following all Bostik safety procedures and requirements
\n - Maintain equipment and report issues to management as needed
\n - Document all activities in work order system and communicate progress
\n - Understand equipment failures and put actions in place to improve and prevent repeat issues
\n - Responsiveness to production and other customers along with problem solving and learning
\n - Willingness to learn complex electro-mechanical systems
\n - Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems
\n - Familiarity with industrial control systems (single loop controllers, PLCs)
\n - Reduce repeat failures to lower costs and improve productivity
\n

Qualifications / Experience Required \n - High School Diploma or Equivalency required
\n - Some technical training or college preferred
\n - Industrial process maintenance experience highly valued
\n - Minimum of 5 years' experience preferred
\n - Use of hand and power tools as well as forklifts, scissor lifts, and slings/lifting equipment
\n - Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
\n - Basic computer skills
\n - Frequent work from ladders and elevations
\n - Must be able to sit (10%), walk (25%), stand (65%) daily
\n - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs infrequently, and up to 10 lbs frequently
