Supervisor: Maintenance Director

Department: Maintenance

Position Summary: Perform preventative maintenance, pre-operational checks, and operational monitoring on ropeway systems.

Job Relationships:

• Responsible To: Maintenance Director
• Employees Supervised: None
• Inter-Relationships: Work closely with Operations Director, Lift Operations Manager, Ski Patrol, and Maintenance to better serve our guests

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Off-season: Preventative and routing maintenance of chairlift components including cleaning, inspecting, lubricating, and adjusting lift components.
• Off-season: Participate as directed in ropeway rigging and splicing projects.
• Off-season: Participate in special construction projects.
• Winter-season: Pre-operational checks and lift evaluations.
• Winter-season: Operational monitoring.
• Additional duties may be assinged.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Certification: Requires a valid driver's license.
• Experience: Previous maintenance mechanic / millwright experience is recommended.
• Other Requirements: Must possess good communication and teamwork skills.

Environmental Factors:

• Frequent lifting of items weighing 45 Lbs. or more
• Occasional lifting of items weighing 45-90 Lbs.
• Exposure to possible hazards associated with machinery and moving equipment
• Will be exposed to severe weather while performing duties
• Must be able to work safely on ladders and elevated surfaces and work platforms.
• Frequent climbing of ladders in continuous lengths up to 40'.
• Frequent walking on uneven and steep terrain.
• Sitting, standing, squatting for extended periods of time.
