Massage Therapist: The Carriage House at RT Lodge – Maryville, TN
Schedule : Based on business needs (Spa hours are 9am–6pm, 7 days/week)
Status: Full-time and Part time hourly positions available
Compensation: Combination of hourly, commission, and gratuity + sign on bonus

Located in the heart of Maryville, TN, RT Lodge is a celebrated destination known for refined Southern hospitality, exceptional dining, and immersive guest experiences. This fall, we’re expanding our offerings with the opening of The Carriage House Spa.

Tucked into the wooded grounds of our historic property, The Carriage House offers a restorative retreat that blends the peacefulness of nature with expert wellness care. Our curated spa menu features a harmonious blend of timeless spa classics and recent advances in skin, body, and overall health.

We are now building our opening team and are seeking exceptional spa professionals to bring this vision to life—individuals who are passionate about wellness and hospitality and are committed to excellence. Position Overview
As a Massage Therapist at The Carriage House Spa, you’ll have the opportunity to provide personalized, results-driven bodywork in a peaceful, nature-inspired setting. You’ll deliver a variety of massage and body treatments that align with our elevated spa standards, while supporting guests' long-term wellness goals. Our ideal candidate is skilled in multiple modalities, eager to learn our signature offerings, and passionate about hospitality. This is more than a treatment room—it’s a chance to help shape a premier spa experience from the ground up. A current Tennessee massage license is required.

Requirements and Qualifications

· Current Tennessee Massage Therapy License (550+ hours of instruction)

· Completion of required continuing education

· Minimum 6 months of hands-on massage experience; 1+ year preferred

· High school diploma or GED required

· Must be able to perform a minimum of 4 services per shift

· Must be able to work weekends and holidays

· Able to stand for long periods and lift 35+ lbs

Key Responsibilities

· Provide consistent, professional massage and body treatments following spa protocols and certification standards

· Arrive punctually and perform services within scheduled timeframes

· Customize treatments to meet guest wellness needs

· Educate guests on wellness topics and recommend appropriate retail products

· Prepare treatment rooms and tools; maintain cleanliness and sanitation per policy

· Restock supplies and linens; perform opening and closing duties

· Support front desk coverage when necessary

· Stay current on new procedures and spa offerings

· Promote spa services, retail, and seasonal specials warmly and knowledgeably

· Maintain equipment and use products efficiently to manage costs

· Adhere to sanitation and sterilization standards as required by law and spa policies

· Communicate guest feedback or operational issues promptly to management

· Participate actively in team meetings and trainings; foster a positive work environment

· Assist with spa upkeep and operational tasks as directed
