A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is needed in Fort Walton Beach, FL

The island’s Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park is home to dolphins, penguins, and alligators. The Indian Temple Mound Museum includes the prehistoric Temple Mound and Native American artifacts. Northeast, the Air Force Armament Museum displays artifacts and aircraft from WWI to the present.

This position is with a progressive, financially stable Hospital System.

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly Rate - $27.42 to $36.95
• Available Shifts: Days with rotating weekends – Typically 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. May be 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Responsible for non-clinical, biopsychosocial assessments and interventions for the inpatient floors and the outpatient emergency department.
• Performs crisis intervention, patient/family interventions, high-risk screening, focused emotional support, and referrals for financial assistance or other identified resource needs.
• Assists in post-acute care placement on all discharges, primarily with those patients identified with post-discharge behavioral health and patient assistance/resource needs.
• Dedicated to patient and family-centered care that values personal self-determination, prioritization, and engages in creative and compassionate problem-solving.
• Provide psychosocial support and interventions for patients and families coping with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. Services include consultation, discharge planning, education, counseling, advocacy, and referral to community resources.
• Offer compassionate emotional support to patients and families during sensitive situations such as terminal diagnoses, end-of-life discussions, death notifications (in coordination with physicians), and other crisis events.

Requirements

• 2 years of experience minimum
• An LCSW and a Master of Social Work are requirements for this role.
• Hospital experience preferred
• Master’s Degree in Social Work
