  • Partner with clients to develop and implement underwriting policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Assist with legal and regulatory matters, such as expansion applications, rate filings, compliance issues, and responses to inquiries from regulatory bodies.
  • Write legal memoranda and provide training on underwriting, real estate law, and regulations affecting the industry.
  • Review and negotiate contracts (leases, vendor agreements, issuing agency contracts, etc.).
  • Conduct claims reviews and assist with claim resolution efforts.
  • Stay current on key legal and regulatory updates in the title, escrow, and real estate industries.

Educational Requirements :

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar admission in at least one U.S. state ( Texas preferred )

Professional Experience :

  • 5+ years of legal experience with a focus on title underwriting (multi-state/national experience strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of RESPA and affiliated business regulations.
  • Hands-on experience in title claims, general litigation, corporate law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, analyze complex underwriting/legal issues.

Skillset :

  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills, with the ability to present information persuasively and effectively train others.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant legal applications.
  • Expertise in analyzing data and identifying trends related to underwriting and regulatory risks.

If you thrive in environments where legal acumen and operational leadership intersect, our client is eager to bring you aboard to help take their organization to the next level.

This is a unique opportunity for a legal professional looking to join a collaborative corporate environment while representing an industry leader with national impact.  Apply today to learn more about this or email your resume directly to Emily Clark, Vice President of Direct Hire, at emily.clark < at > roberthalf. < com >
