FLS Transportation Services is currently seeking In-House counsel to join our rapidly growing organization.

Responsibilities:

• This role will involve regular interaction with in-house paralegal, internal and external clients, as well as outside counsel in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
• Responsible for performing projects important to the success and needs of our business and the clients we serve.
• Review, draft and negotiate contracts with hundreds of customers and vendors;
• Assist in the creation and review of legal documents and the negotiation of client and supplier contracts;
• Prepare and file legal documents with appropriate entities, as required.
• Ensure that the Company complies with laws and regulations;
• Assists in the legal due diligence process;
• Coordinate and oversee legal requirements for the organization;
• All other duties that may be required in her function.

Requirements:

• Strong relationship-building skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be able to use considerable judgement, advanced skills, and initiative to efficiently and independently resolve complex problems as they arise, and to follow established processes to resolve issues quickly
• Must demonstrate a strong understanding of both legal and business strategies, and understand the impact of the work on the department and/or clients, and make recommendations for solutions
• 0-5 years of experience
• Experience in the transportation industry is a plus
