JOB SUMMARY: 


The House Attendant plays a vital role in supporting the Housekeeping team to maintain the cleanliness, organization, and Forbes-level presentation of all guest areas and back-of-house spaces. This position ensures that room attendants and supervisors are fully equipped with the necessary supplies and linens to deliver exceptional service and maintain a pristine environment for all guests



  ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist room attendants by stripping guest rooms of used linen and terry in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Replenish housekeeping closets with the proper stock of linen, amenities, and cleaning supplies throughout the shift.
  • Deliver guest requests promptly and courteously, such as extra towels, pillows, rollaway beds, or cribs, ensuring service standards are met.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of storage rooms, hallways, service landings, and back-of-house areas, ensuring all areas reflect Forbes cleanliness and safety expectations.
  • Assist in deep cleaning projects, furniture moves, and special assignments as directed by Management.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored at the end of each shift.
  • Handle all guest interactions with the highest level of professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency, anticipating needs in accordance with Forbes standards.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues immediately to the appropriate department.
  • Follow all safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures as outlined by the property and OSHA.
  • Support sustainability and cost-control initiatives through careful use of supplies and energy.
  • Adhere to uniform, grooming, and appearance standards to represent the property with professionalism at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver license for the applicable State and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving record (property specific-driving).
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
  • Ability to work at varying temperatures (guest floors, laundry, outdoors).
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull heavy linen carts, and stand or walk for extended periods.
