Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Description

The Machine Technician II is responsible for performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on heavy equipment. This role ensures equipment operates safely and efficiently while meeting customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy machinery with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and software.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble components such as engines, transmissions, and hydraulics.
• Complete work orders, parts orders, and service reports accurately.
• Follow all safety protocols, contamination control procedures, and HAZMAT regulations.
• Mentor junior technicians and assist with training.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Essential Skills

• Experience with heavy equipment, diesel engines, and hydraulics.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $101920.00/yr.
