You’re a skilled Generator Technician with a strong background in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of generator systems. Your expertise ensures that critical power solutions are reliable and ready to support mission success for our customers. You excel at diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance, ensuring that generators operate at peak performance in any environment. In the role of Generator Technician, your duties will include: Troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams, and specifications; maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators; monitoring contracted maintenance services; providing guidance and oversight for any person under your supervision; willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required; implementing and upholding safety protocols during all operations; working closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies; staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency; responding promptly to generator failures and emergencies, providing on-site support to restore power quickly and efficiently. This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUS. Requirements include a US SECRET clearance with eligibility for upgrade to TS/SCI with Poly level Clearance, a high school diploma or equivalent, eight or more years of professional generator experience including three years in a lead or supervisory role, experience troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators, experience maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators, knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services, and willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
