Farm Equipment Operator & Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and dependable Farm Equipment Operator & Maintenance Technician for a full-time role supporting year-round farming operations. This position plays a key role in maintaining and operating agricultural and seed processing equipment, with flexible hours based on seasonal demands.

Typical Work Schedule:

• Spring/Fall: Monday-Friday, 8-10 hours/day (up to 50 hrs/week)
• Late Spring/Summer (Harvest): Monday-Saturday
• Winter: Monday-Friday, ~40 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate farm equipment: combines, windrowers, tractors, flail choppers, trucks, and ATVs
• Perform routine maintenance and basic repairs on vehicles and machinery
• Assist with general farm tasks and errands as needed
• Support other roles during peak harvest times
• Follow Farm Manager instructions and work with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

• Basic to advanced mechanical aptitude
• Prior farm or equipment operation experience
• Understanding of vehicle and machinery maintenance practices
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license (Farm Endorsement is a plus)
• Trade school or technical training is a bonus, not required
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather
• Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks: bending, walking on uneven surfaces, long shifts during peak seasons
