Base Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 / year based on experience + Quarterly & Sales Bonus Potential

Are you a dynamic Events Manager with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences? Join us at Rye Street Tavern, a premier venue in the Baltimore Peninsula renowned for its breathtaking waterfront views and eight event spaces with a capacity of up to 400 guests.

At Rye Street Tavern, you’ll have the opportunity to craft exceptional events across a range of unique settings. This position is ideal for hospitality professionals with experience in planning and event execution in the weddings and corporate markets.

This position reports to the Senior Events Manager.

This onsite position requires availability for evening and weekend events, with a flexible scheduling policy that provides two days off each week to support work-life balance.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN AN EVENTS MANAGER

  • 2+ years of experience executing events - required.
  • Restaurant experience is preferred but not required.
  • A flexible schedule with the ability to work some weekends and evenings.
  • A commitment to ensuring superior customer service.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, strong decision-making ability, sense of urgency, empathy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, build long-lasting relationships, and creating positive outcomes.

WHAT YOU WILL DO AS AN EVENTS MANAGER

  • Provide excellent customer service in responding to phone or email inquiries
  • Assist with creating and revising event proposals
  • Assemble private event packets including layouts, details, and other supporting documents
  • Assist with final guest counts
  • Submit and monitor vendor orders for required materials and supplies
  • Ensure all contracts are approved and confirmed by the client prior to the event
  • Verify billing information and assist with preparing invoices to submit to Accounting
  • Coordinate regularly with the Private Events Manager regarding any client communication
  • Assist with the set-up and layout of event space
  • Assist with day-of coordination as needed
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and events as needed
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned
