Be our next Electrical Designer/Engineer Your work environment at EXP In this role, you will be part of the Electrical team within the Science & Technology sector , based in San Francisco, California . What a day at EXP has in store for you Communicate effectively, solve problems, and analyze issues. Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking support for multiple projects are essential. Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD with working drawings. Prepare floor plans showing electrical device layouts, fixtures, circuitry, and equipment. Perform calculations for fault current and overcurrent coordination studies. Implement proper AIC ratings of equipment with limited input from senior staff. Prepare one-line diagrams with limited input from senior staff. Review calculations for electrical loads and panel schedules. Possess thorough knowledge of NEC and other codes. Understand and apply concepts like voltage drop, conductor sizing, and harmonics. Edit electrical specifications with limited input from senior staff. Layout fire alarm devices on floor plans with limited input from senior staff. Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases. Edit specifications to reflect project requirements. Select and schedule equipment with limited oversight from senior staff. Meet with vendors to determine application specifications. Perform field verification and take-offs for renovation projects. Coordinate with other disciplines such as MEPFP, Architectural, Structural, and Process teams. Maintain the engineering documentation for projects. Respond to RFIs and review submittals with limited input from senior staff. Resolve installation issues onsite. Apply risk management procedures to minimize expenses and client exposure. Plan work and manage the design process within available hours. Deliver appropriate documentation for SD, DD, CD, and LOD levels. Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to meet milestones. Manage revisions and sketches, and develop scope of work narratives. Review construction details during bid phases with contractors. What your experience looks like Minimum four years of experience in design related to Life Sciences, R&D, Pharmaceutical, and Critical Facilities. Engineering Degree (BS Electrical, BS Architectural Engineering, or equivalent). EIT License preferred but not required. Ability to travel locally. The pay range for this role is $105,000 to $135,000.
