TITLE: Director of Corporate Catering Sales (Delivery)

LOCATION: Chicago, IL

COMPENSATION: $110-120,000 base + $50K performance bonus (uncapped)

POSITION SUMMARY

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Catering Sales (Corporate Accounts) to lead and expand their corporate catering delivery business in the Chicago area. This role combines a passion for food and beverage with strategic client engagement and business development. You will be responsible for overseeing delivery logistics, operations, and sales while fostering strong relationships with key clients. As the face of our client’s brand, you will ensure seamless execution, drive revenue growth, and elevate customer experiences. As a leader of the Delivery Sales team, you will inspire and develop high-performing talent, drive sales strategies, and collaborate closely with internal teams, including Culinary, Marketing, and Operations, to optimize offerings and services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve ambitious revenue and growth targets for the Delivery business line.
  2. Identify new business opportunities through proactive networking, prospecting, and lead conversion.
  3. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring high customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  4. Conduct business reviews and create customized solutions to address client needs and expand account revenue.
  5. Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales to align sales goals with overall company objectives.
  6. Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring outstanding service and seamless execution.
  7. Partner with Culinary and Operations teams to continuously refine and enhance delivery menu offerings based on client feedback and market trends.
  8. Maintain deep knowledge of food and beverage trends to anticipate customer preferences and drive innovation.
  9. Develop tailored proposals, manage client inquiries, and oversee order fulfillment to ensure flawless delivery experiences.
  10. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales and operations team to achieve revenue and service excellence.
  11. Implement structured training and professional development programs to cultivate talent and drive team performance.
  12. Establish a results-driven culture focused on collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  13. Oversee and refine internal processes to improve efficiency and service quality in delivery operations.
  14. Work closely with Operations and Service teams to ensure smooth execution of all delivery orders.
  15. Partner with the Marketing team to develop impactful promotional materials and campaigns for the delivery business.
  16. Utilize digital and print marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and attract new clients.
  17. Collaborate on seasonal and annual menu updates, ensuring offerings remain competitive and innovative.
  18. Implement data-driven decision-making by leveraging client feedback, sales trends, and performance metrics.
  19. Utilize CRM tools and reporting systems to track sales performance and identify growth opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Associate's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  2. 5+ years' experience in hospitality, catering, or food service.
  3. 5+ years' experience in Sales, business development.
  4. Strong experience with off-site catering, event operations, and client relationship management.
  5. Record of selling contractual, corporate dining in Chicago (schools, athletics, private business, etc.).
  6. Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and online ordering platforms.
  7. Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  8. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive business information responsibly.
  9. Passion for food, hospitality, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.
  10. PLUS: experience with menu development, event planning.
