Truework, recently acquired by Checkr, provides access to crucial employment, income information and asset information needed for mortgage loans, apartment rentals, background checks, and more. We are disrupting a $5B+ industry, dominated by legacy incumbents and outdated processes, with a better product and intense customer focus. As a Director, National Sales Manager - Mortgage, you will be directly responsible for managing a team of elite sales professionals focused on penetrating the mortgage lending market. This role will be a critical enabler to scaling our impact across the largest lenders in the country, and will be the conduit by which we achieve our growth targets.

This role is ideal for a proven sales leader who:

  • Has proven experience building and leading highly successful sales teams, with bifurcated focus on new logo acquisition and deep account expansion
  • Has familiarity selling into mortgage lending directly, to help model how to effectively sell transformational solutions, driving boardrelevant impact to a lenders operation
  • Has an affinity for supporting day to day tactics in deal strategy and an eye for building repeatability in pipeline creation, advancement and health tactics
  • Thrives in a fastpaced, highly collaborative environmentwilling and able to roll up their sleeves to work in the business as well as on the business

What Youll Do

  • Drive New Revenue Growth
    • Build processes and cadences to support ongoing pipeline development and whitespace penetration for both new logo and expansion motions
    • Lead a sustainable revenue strategy that consistently meets targets
    • Advocate and drive accountability to supporting functions like marketing, partner, customer success and revenue operations to ensure the team has resourcing needed to deliver against targets
  • Operational Excellence
    • Optimize the day to day sales activities to maximize revenue conversion
    • Lead annual strategy planning and sales, including account segmentation, territory assignment, financial targets, quotas, compensation plans, organizational design and capacity modeling
    • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to optimize commercial opportunities and identify areas of improvement
  • Drive Team Member Success
    • Lead a team of experienced and successful sellers
    • Recruit, inspire, lead, mentor and motivate the sales organization to capitalize on market opportunities
    • Role model company values
    • Set and review KPIs aligned with targets and incentive plans and conduct quarterly checkins

What You Bring

  • 15+ years of fullcycle sales or sales leadership experience, selling technology solutions to institutions in the financial services industry
  • Exceptional sales instincts to finetune a sales engine for predictability, linearity, and high performance.
  • Proven success in bringing in new business and optimising existing opportunities.
  • Excellent people leadership skills to influence and drive accountability.
  • Strong internal network and support, with the ability to navigate and get things done.
  • Strong understanding of using data to make informed decisions related to sales and business performance.
  • Experience closing new business accounts and/or managing existing accounts with large global/multinational customers, with complex organizational structures
  • Experience selling to the CSuite. EVPs, CXOs and endusers (in the same sales cycle) in both individual and team sales environments
  • General knowledge in common sales practices like MEDDPICC, Command of the Message (Force Management), Challenger, Power Selling, or others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - able to simplify complex topics in a friendly and approachable manner, present executivelevel business cases

Ontarget Earnings OR Base Salary range (San Francisco, CA): $360,000$423,000 USD

Ontarget Earnings OR Base Salary range (Denver, CO): $264,000$311,000 USD

At Checkr, we believe a hybrid work environment strengthens collaboration, drives innovation, and encourages connection. Our hub locations are Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, and Santiago, Chile. Individuals are expected to work from the office 2 to 3 days a week. Starting January 2026, hubbased employees will be expected to work from the office 3 days per week. Inoffice perks are provided, such as lunch four times a week, a commuter stipend, and an abundance of snacks and beverages.
