Working Title Degree Management Systems Specialist Department Office of the University Registrar-0961 Description Of Work Analyzes and builds degree requirements into the degree management system. Works with the Registrar’s Office, external software vendor, and campus IT units to implement upgrades to the degree management system and new features within the software that supports the campus community’s needs. Conducts systems administration, query writing, reporting and data analysis. Tests system enhancements, interfaces with other systems, and troubleshooting. Determines best requirement construction methods to support degree pathways. Leads in developing needed reports emanating from the degree management system. Prepares documentation of best practices for system use at UNL and delivery of training to UNL personnel and students. Responds to general inquiries and a wide range of questions or concerns associated with the software and student degree progress related policies and procedures. See . Minimum Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree plus one year of employment experience with information systems; equivalent education/experience considered. Knowledge of system operations and the impact on end-users and downstream systems; ability to conduct database queries and analysis. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in MIS , education or business fields or related field. Previous experience in a higher education setting. Three years of full-time, applicable employment experience preferred. Knowledge of university processes helpful.
