Job Type: Contract / Full-Time (Interim Transaction Period) Temp-to-Hire - possible conversion upon completion of contract
Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced and credentialed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to oversee operations and manage all accounting functions for a CPA firm in Naperville, IL during a transitional/transaction period. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in public accounting, with demonstrated expertise in corporate tax returns, financial statement preparation, and personal income tax filings.
Preferred: Experience with firm transitions, M&A, or practice sales is a strong plus. Proficiency in tax and accounting software (e.g., Lacerte, UltraTax, QuickBooks, CaseWare).
Competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a temporary/interim role, with the potential for longer-term engagement depending on fit and outcomes.
