Overview
Mardale Specialties Direct, a leading subcontractor of Division 10 projects with over 20 years in the Florida market has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Project Accountant to join our expanding team. With 3 branches in Florida, this position is based in our Fort Myers office.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Project Managers and teams regarding project setup, contract documents, contract modification, approvals and services related to billing
- Responsible for managing paperwork and enrollment in OCIP, CCIP, COI Direct Purchase Orders, Bond and NTO
- Set up, review and confirm billing terms, fees and other accounting related matters to ensure accurate allocation of labor and expenses to projects and proper revenue recognition
- Process monthly AIA pay applications, supporting documents, use Procore and Textura when needed
- Manage Accounts Receivables, ensuring invoices are not going uncollected
- Meet with upper management to discuss action plan for accounts past due
- Review and evaluate project charges for accuracy and complete cost transfers
- Research unbilled issues and optimize billing opportunities
- Work with A/P team, process vendor invoices accurately and within assigned timeline
- Assist project management team with project close out process, including warranties
- Prepare A/R reports for monthly meetings
- Perform other duties and assignments as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail; ability to interpret complex financial information effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting financial information clearly.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
