Principal Research Associate I Banking and Finance (Permanent and contract roles)

HW3 has partnered with a fastgrowing, wellfunded Fintech Platform looking to hire a Compliance Lead in tandem with the growth and success of the business.

This is a remote opportunity; the candidate will travel to the San Francisco HQ once a month (company paid).

As a Compliance Lead, your responsibilities will be:

• Directly interfacing with customers to guide them through licensing challenges, across new and existing products
• Consultative in nature, guide customers with empathy through clear communication, and be solutionsoriented
• Collaborating with Engineers to build new and innovative products, and create efficiencies across the existing platform
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with regulators and other stakeholders
• Possessing an understanding of licensing processes, laws, rules and regulations of at least two of the following kinds of financial licenses: Fiat MoneyTransmission Licenses (MTLs), Crypto, Mortgage, Lending, or Debt Collection
• Keep up to date with new or recently amended licensing laws, rules and regulations at state and federal levels
• Experience in filing, maintaining, acquiring, reporting requirements and/or surrendering of licenses
• Handson experience with NMLS to develop regulatory licensing strategies alongside customers to obtain and/or maintain licenses most efficiently

As a Compliance Lead, you will need:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience within a Fintech industry with knowledge regarding two or more of the following licenses: Fiat Money Transmission Licenses (MTLs), Crypto, Mortgage, Lending, or Debt Collection
• Handson experience using NMLS
• A Bachelor's Degree from a college or university

Candidates need to be a US Citizen, Green Card holder or Permanent Resident.
