What you will experience in this position:

As a CNC Operator Lead at nVent, you will have the opportunity to lead a team in a collaborative and inclusive environment. Your role will be to ensure flawless execution of machine operations and maintain world-class standards. You will:
    \n
  • Perform machine set-ups and make minor machine/program adjustments without assistance.
  • \n
  • Pull and prep material from inventory for all operators, ensuring accurate transactions through JDEdwards ERP.
  • \n
  • Keep track of daily and weekly production metrics.
  • \n
  • Follow inspection specifications and dimensionally check and test production to meet AQL standards.
  • \n
  • Apply calibrated precision measuring instruments like calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other measuring tools.
  • \n
  • Participate in Lean activities and actively use Lean tools in daily operations, including SQDCC, Hr. X Hr. Charts, and Lean Engagement programs.
  • \n
  • Train other employees in both basic and sophisticated machine operator techniques.
  • \n
\n You have:

To be successful in this role, you will need:
    \n
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience is required, with the ability to read and write in English to follow written instructions and complete departmental paperwork.
  • \n
  • Lean manufacturing experience (preferred).
  • \n
  • Proven lead or supervision experience (preferred).
  • \n
  • The physical ability to frequently lift/move up to 50lbs, and perform activities such as standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
