About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to lead its independent Enterprise Risk Management Program and function. The CRO will be a key member of the Executive Leadership team, with a focus on overseeing the organization's risk-taking activities and assessing risks and issues in an independent manner. This role is critical for ensuring that the company's risk management practices are robust and effective, and the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the risk management function. As the CRO, the primary responsibilities will include developing and implementing risk management strategies, policies, and procedures, as well as providing guidance and support to the Board and senior management on risk-related matters. The role requires a high level of expertise in identifying, measuring, and mitigating various types of risks, including credit, market, operational, and strategic risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, with a proven track record of leading and managing a risk function within a financial services or similar regulated environment. A deep understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices is essential. The successful candidate for the CRO position at the company will be a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills. A collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams is necessary, as is the ability to influence and challenge decision-making processes to ensure that risk is appropriately managed. A relevant degree in finance, business, or a related field is required, and professional certifications in risk management are a plus. The CRO will play a pivotal role in the organization's governance and will be expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
