About the Role
The Company is in need of a fractional CFO to take on a part-time, flexible role leading financial operations and compliance for the U.S. business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the U.S. financial reporting package, monthly MD&A reporting to the global headquarters, and providing financial oversight, variance analysis, and compliance management. Additionally, the role involves supporting HR-related functions, mentoring the accounting team, and working to improve the monthly reporting cycle. The CFO will also be involved in insurance renewals, navigating tariff implications, and supporting various financial analyses. The ideal candidate for this position is a seasoned CFO or senior finance leader with a background in CPG or inventory-driven business, particularly experienced in financial reporting, FP&A, compliance, inventory management, and trade promotions. A hands-on approach, executive-level judgment, and the ability to mentor and coach junior finance staff are essential. The role requires a professional with a CPA or CMA certification, and experience with Excel-based reporting decks, middle-market company operations, and Sage-100 is a plus. The candidate should be capable of stepping into a hands-on role with limited resources and have some background in IT systems or accounting infrastructure.
