Responsibilities

As a Dental Assistant, you will:

• Greet and prepare patients, helping them feel comfortable before, during, and after treatment
• Gather comprehensive medical and dental histories from parents/guardians
• Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
• Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis) under the supervision of the dentist
• Assist the pediatric dentist during a variety of clinical procedures
• Provide post-operative and oral hygiene instructions to patients and parents
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize instruments and dental equipment for procedures
• Maintain infection control and sterilization standards in compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, patient communication, and supply management
• Collaborate as a reliable team member, maintaining a positive and professional attitude

• Prior experience as a Dental Assistant (pediatric experience preferred)
• Knowledge of dental terminology, OSHA infection control, and HIPAA compliance
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Friendly, patient, and compassionate demeanor with children and families
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Dependable transportation to and from work
• Current certifications (X-ray, CPR, or Dental Assistant license) preferred
